Job description:
Our Houston client is seeking an HR Advisor to provide HR support to multiple client groups at all levels of the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for succession planning, performance management, organizational design, staffing and other human resource-related functions.

Responsibilities:
-Collaborate with department leaders to execute business goals.
-Advise management on appropriate resolution of issues related to staffing, employee performance, training/development, organizational structure, compensation, etc.
-Partner with other HR departments to develop policies and programs which meet current and future business requirements.
-Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
-Facilitate the annual compensation planning, succession planning, and other human capital management processes.
-Ensure new hire, promotion, salary increase, and organizational decisions provide competitive and equitable compensation and reward performance.
-Develops and implements competitive expatriate offers for new hires and internal transfers.
-Maintain compliance with federal and state employment laws and regulations.
-Ensure all employee transactions, including new hires, expatriates, inpatriates, personnel change requests, etc. are managed effectively.
-Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements


Education, training, experience:
Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related discipline.
-7+ years’ Human Resources Generalist experience; oil & gas HR Generalist experience preferred.
-Expatriate work experience preferred.
-Willing to go overseas on a resident expatriate assignment in the next 2-3 years.
-Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
-Ability to travel to business units in Latin America and the Middle East.
-Proficient in MS Office Suites.
-Strong verbal and written communication skills.
-Strong interpersonal skills; ability to influence all levels of the organization.
-Ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively.
-Effective consulting skills.
