Gensler’s hub office in Houston is seeking an HR Generalist. This position will have broad responsibility working directly with staff and leadership in the office of 250+ people to support all aspects of human resource services at the direction of the HR Regional Leader. This is an opportunity to be part of designing the strategic HR service model in a cutting edge environment.

Responsibilities
•Manage applicant flow for open positions including candidate communication, interview scheduling, reference checks, offer letter generation, and maintaining applicant tracking database
•Administer and create materials for summer intern program
•Facilitate global mobility of employees with transfer, relocation, and visa processing
•Educate employees about benefit programs and liaise with firm wide benefit team
•Support full lifecycle of the employee from on-boarding, leave, exit, and retirement
•Manage Gensler special recognition programs - baby gifts, anniversaries, referrals
•Support compensation and reward administration
•Facilitate effective staffing amongst staff by leading meetings, creating reports, and proactively circulating available staff
•Maintain HRIS data, perform audits, and create reports
•Assist in developing performance management tools, formalizing succession planning, and proactively developing staff and leadership

Job Requirements


Education, training, experience:
Qualifications
•Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related area required
•3 + years of Human Resources experience
•Working knowledge of employment law and compliance regulations at federal, state and local levels
•Experience working in a Professional Services environment
•Excellent organizational skills; attention to detail
•Advanced MS Office proficiency preferred, particularly Excel
•Experience with Taleo and Workstream preferred
•Ability to produce timely deliverables and manage multiple and shifting priorities in a dynamic environment
•Ability to work independently, navigate and maintain productivity in a matrix environment
•Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) required.
•Strong customer service orientation, a team player with the ability to establish collaborative working relationships
•PHR certification or equivalent preferred
